Astronomy 1: Introductory Astronomy

Lab section information

All lab sections meet from 8:00 until 11:00 PM, one night every two weeks. All lab meetings will be in SC 187 (in the chemistry wing of the science center). Some of our labs will be outdoors - on the observing deck up on the roof of the science center - but even when we do those outdoor labs, we'll meet first in SC 187.

You will buy a set of lab manuals during the first week of the semester - in class - for a nominal fee of $1.

The first lab meeting for everyone will be the third week of classes. The lab sections are as follows:
