OK, maybe we need to refit with beta=1 as well as beta=0.7 (well, I guess we do, since we're using a new value of phiratio). So, do it all over again, and use the Si XIII refit as a template (start with hegauss). The data in this line complex have lower S/N than the Si XIII complex, and I'm finding that allowing the line width and shift to be free parameters along with R, G, and normalization, leads to too much degeneracy (specifically, G tends to go to close to zero, while R gets very big (menaingless if G ~ 0) and sigma and delta both get unreasonably large - so, essentially, the who three-Gaussian model is creating a single, broad profile that's fitting the r and i lines together as a single entity). Thus, I've decided to fix sigma = 1100 and delta = -600, which are the best-fit values derived from the Si XIII complex fitting.
