N VII 20.910 Angstroms

Non-porous models

Note: We fit only the MEG data. Emma Wollman did the model fitting. See the fitting log.

Continuum fit on 20.50:20.75 and 21.15:21.30. For n=2, best-fit norm=1.01e-3. The 90% confidence limits on the normalization are +/-0.3e-3. And the best fit is formally a good fit.

vinf=2250
β=1
powerlaw continuum, n=2; norm=1.00e-3
q=0
hinf=0
taustar=4.26   +/- (2.55:6.54)
uo=0.533   +/- (0.364:0.99)
norm=1.48e-4 +/- (1.29e-4:1.71e-4)
rejection probability = 66% (C=116.80; N=130)

Here are the 68%, 90%, and 95% joint confidence limits on taustar and uo based on fitting the MEG and HEG data together. The asterisk represents the best-fit model, shown as the red histograms on the above two plots.
