Kubic Bubbles Kit
- Build cubes, octahedrons, tetrahedrons and prisms - then
dip them in soap-glycerin to produce minimum energy surfaces.
- Study surface tension and demonstrate light refraction.
- Soap film contained by a three dimensional framework will
automatically arrange itself so that it has the smallest possible surface
area. The fundamental shapes have the minimum surface area bounded by that
framework. Soap films can therefore be used to give a visual answer to some
complex mathematical problems.
- Located in L02, section D1. Soap solution located in L01,
section B5.
