Parallel Currents

• Demonstrate force between parallel currents.
• Use a power supply to send about 10 amps through the stationary rod; use a large battery (see Jim) to send a quick pulse of high current through the balanced rod (please be careful not to shock yourself!). The deflection will occur immediately and can easily be seen. Laser and mirror not necessary.
