Inertial Fusion and Laboratory Astrophysics Links

Sandia's Z-machine is the world's most powerful X-ray source.

The Omega Laser at the University of Rochester is a 60 beam, 30 kJ Nd Glass laser.

Livermore National lab used to house the 10 beam Nova Laser and later this decade the National Ignition Facility (NIF) will be operational.

Per Peterson, Professor at UC-Berkeley, has a tutorial on fusion.

Bruce Remington at Livermore has an extensive page on fusion-related laser experiments.

Prof. Cohen's research on laboratory astrophysics, inertial confinement fusion, and stellar X-rays are described on his webpage.
